Barbados hotels are world class... the ultimate in tropical vacation accommodation. Many of the hotels are set amidst exotic tropical gardens and spawn some of the most picture perfect beaches you can ever imagine. As natives we can assure you that they are some great resorts here on the island, Hilton, Sandy Lane, The Crane and Almond to name a few. But for us a couple of them really stand out so we have return for long week ends are simply to have dinner in their fine restaurants. For our wedding and reception we choose the Hilton Barbados, this was the old Hilton before it was demolish to make way for the new spanking hotel. Since the new resort open we have return for lunch or dinner several times. 
The new Hilton sits on the same spectacular peninsula as the old Hilton at Needhams Point over looking Carlisle Bay. This tropical peninsula is surrounded by two powdery white sand beaches and the pristine turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea. This fantastic Barbados hotel sits on what can be describe as the best seat in the house... its design allows the private balconies of all 350 rooms to over look Carlisle Bay a magnificent view of the white sand and gentle waves. ...but the view isn’t all, there is much more, a kidz paradise club for children’s entertainment, there also have 3 tennis courts with treatment rooms overlooking Carlisle Bay, a sprawling swimming pool with a whirlpool and a number of other activities in close proximity... and some great restaurants. Speaking of which... We had a great anniversary dinner at The Lighthouse Terrace restaurant. Yes, the ambiance is great; we had a delightful theme dinner... while enjoying the cooling sea breeze on the terrace. ...but its not just international brands like the Hilton Barbados hotels like the Edgewater Inn now rename The New Edgewater also stand out for us as a true romantic hideaway.
